Prospect Market has served the community for more than 70 years. In fact, the Cormorant Boutique Hotel began as Prospect Market in the mid-1940’s, when it was the only market in the beachfront community of La Jolla Village. In the 1960’s, hotel rooms were added, and for several decades, the business operated as La Jolla Inn.
